So I just spent a good 2 hours customizing some new kicks on the Nike and Reebok web sites and this is what I came up with:

Spending that much time worrying about the looks of your sneakers says that you are suspect. Sneakers are supposed to be functional. If you are spending that much time researching them then they better make you run faster or something.

It says you have horrible taste and there is a reason you don't design shoes for a living. Your yellow and orange color scheme looks terrible and Reebok now regrets giving customers the option to customize.
