sucks for the folks with no headphones.

Meh, if people really cared about the noises of other people/things on a plane they would make sure they had headphones.

dogs on a plane usually behave better than a lot of humans

Well peanut allergies can be lethal. Dog and cat allergies generally cause sniffles. And peanuts aren't banned as far as I know on any flights, they just don't serve them. I usually fly with a snickers bar and have yet to have it confiscated...

They served peanuts on the flight I took last month.

I thought they rode in the cargo area in a kennel. I have never seen one on a plane. I also haven't flown in a few years.

If they are small enough to fit under the seat in a carrier, you can do that. Even if it's not a service dog you can do that if you pay extra.

The one I saw recently was a big black lab, the guy had the front row in coach so the dog just slept at his feet the majority of the time.

I took my dog with me to Houston last week. She sat in a kennel under the seat in front of me. I don't think anyone but the lady next to me even realized she was there.

Lots of people are allergic to some perfumes, should we not allow cologne and perfumes on planes? International flights would be so pleasant.
