I used to dip a can of Skoal Mint Longcut a day. I am only on day 4 of quitting and I know that the nicotine is out of my system already, but I keep getting cravings. I want to try something without nicotine to curb the cravings. Gum isn't working and sunflower seeds tear my mouth up after eating a bunch. Has anyone tried something that is similar to what Skoal Mint is, but without the nicotine in it?

You can get tobacco-free snus that comes in mint flavors. Have to order it online.

I found some stuff made by Triumph and Smokey Mountain and got some reviews from kickthecan.org, but I was curious if anyone has tried any of this and does it really help, or is cold turkey the best option. I will admit I think about running to the store to get a can about every 30 minutes.

somewhere online there's some tobacco free snuz type packets that have some caffeine in them to give you a bit of a buzz you would expect from the nicotine.

i'm going thru the same process myself right now.

I used dip to stop smoking (stupid I know), now I'm down to 1-2 plugs per day, but want to quit it too. i'll go hit google real quick, see if I can find us something.

honestly the best advice. don't try supplementing with something else. be strong. you can do it. i put it down about 7 years ago. it took a solid year before the cravings were completely gone for me. now i find the smell repulsive. you've made it 4 days. make it a week. then a month. don't put yourself in situations where you'll want one (as much as possible). good luck

I'll give it a few more days I guess, but man it's tough when I am at work (always had a dip in).

in-laws bought the e-cigs or whatever. They can mix all kinds of weird flavors. Went from 2 packs a day per person... to one pack every 3 weeks. They're goal is cigarette free by Christmas

Quit dipping 10 years ago. Copenhagen, a can a day
for 20 years. Still dream about it and get urges, but I don't have another quit in me so I resist. Two things helped me quit.
1) I could have bought a four wheeler on monthly notes for what dip was costing me.
2) I tried to imagine what I would tell my kids, while laying in a hospital room, spending all the resources I accumulated to keep me alive a little longer, knowing I would miss their graduations, weddings, child birthing, etc. knowing that every can gave you a warning about health. Couldn't phrase it where it made sense and I did want to participate that heavily in my own demise.

Vape has worked for quite a few people I know. You can dial back the nicotine level. But go to a decent shop like SmokeCignals that can hook you up. Don't bother with the disposable shite.

this. And it's good stuff. You just gotta find a place that sells it.
