I'm not too into the fantasy world like game of thrones. I'm more into military, thriller, or surreal novels. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

The Brothers Karamazov is the best book ever. Should be on every human's bucket list.

Cat's Cradle - Kurt Vonnegut

Inherent Vice - Thomas Pynchon

Research those two, they were good.

I just finished The Liberator: One World War II Soldier's 500-Day Odyssey from the Beaches of Sicily to the Gates of Dachau

Pretty good read.

"Unfair Advantage"

Mark Donohue.

When talent meets hard work, you can win anything.

It is from 1974 and it is about racing and race car development, but anyone following Mark's and Roger's (Penske) formula will be a success in a field or endeavor they attempt.

I'm reading American Assasin right now. It is about how Mitch Rapp started...if you aren't familar with the Vince Flynn series you would like it.

If anyone says Blood Meridian just kick them in the nuts now. I read everything and never stop a book halfway through but I had to with that piece of garbage, I have no idea why so many on here like it. I like Cormac McCarthy, The Road is amazing, but his writing style in Blood Meridian is just garbage.

Mine too. If you become a hardcore Vonnegut fan, then maybe I'd recommend Slapstick. That one is on a different wavelength.
