And at what age does it turn?

I have a 1 year old who steadily becomes easier to manage and fun to play around with. I would much rather a 1 year old than a 1 month old but curious if it gets tougher or easier going forward.

I've got a 12 year old and 8 year old.. the imagination of the 8 year old is amazing.. the 12 year old is beginning that awkward period of pulling away which is normal but sad and at times frustrating..

To your question.... 6-9 are some great years.. they can fend for themselves in most realms but still are a true child with all the wonder and imagination..

I've enjoyed mine always but really when they are about 4-5 and can start having a discussion with you until 15-16 when they still can converse but you reallly are a taxi then again at 22 when they realize you aren't a dumbass are good times.

So my answer it it ebbs and flows.

My four year old has gotten more enjoyable each day since he was born. My six month old is just starting to get fun. The one year period seems to be the start of the good times.

If your children are 14 to 17 and still in middle school, that is probably part of the problem. They're retarded and the most likely got it from you.

I was wondering this too. My son turns 1 end of April. As much as I loved him when he was a newborn, it does just keep getting better. And I can't wait to be able to have a conversation or take him to the golf course.

I've enjoyed different things about and with my daughter at every age she's ever been. I thought "terrible two's " were a blast. I miss a little bit bit about every age she's ever been. I just married her off. Very happy and only a little selfishly sad.
She's a really cool person and she married a good guy.
Of course, I'll take a little credit because it was my freaking job.
