Those that watch Westworld will understand this better, but it's a topic for all.

What makes you so different than one of the "hosts"?

Sure they're not "real" people, but they don't know that. They go about their daily lives, their "loop" as it's called, and sometimes it's just a normal day, while other times a visitor can come in and throw a wrench in it.

Thinking about most people's lives, how is it so much different? Most people get up, go to work, come home, eat, sleep, repeat.

Sometimes something different will happen due to an outside influence, but if not for that most people's days would be the same 90% of the time.

They're basically on that same robotic loop as those hosts.

Does this make you sad to think about?

Does this make you ponder life?

Let's get weird.

When I get shot and die, I don't get reprogrammed, and put back into my role?

It's a much broader topic than just the show. You don't need to watch it to understand the premise behind the thought.

They don't know that.

And really you don't either.

Dying to them is just as horrifying as dying to us.

new humans are born every day. They are pretty much an almost exact copy of you (genetically speaking). And, whatever you were doing before you died, someone else will do after your death.

Have you died before? Tell me all about it. I'm intrigued.

That's got nothing whatsoever to do with the fact that I don't get recycled and reprogrammed, and put back into my exact same role. So like I said, HUGE difference.

You're the one making the claim

Shouldn't you be the one telling me about dying? I'm intrigued...

No but their days can change drastically due to other unexpected things. They can improvise. Yours are just scheduled ahead of time for the most part.

I made no such claim. I'm simply saying you don't know what happens when you die. You laughed at that notion.

They're programmed to be horrified when they die. They're programmed to not want to die.

Look at me, I'm so edgy, I make off the cuff remarks about how certain topics can only be discussed on certain boards.

Here at the OT we can only discuss things like how duck bills look like penises, not westworld though because it is a T.V. show.

For real, try to come up with a different topic besides Yeti ice chests and Prince Harry and the board Nazi's come out.

Remember when the OT was fun? :Sigh:
