In town with the in laws nearby and need to get in my swim training in today...how is the pool? I googled for website and not a lot of info. Looks like an outdoor pool. Good for laps? (Member of the Central Kentucky Y which allows me access to any facility in the country). Thanks.

Pretty sure they reserve a couple of lanes for people that want to do laps.

I'm not a member, but my three year old plays sports there. The pool seems fine for swimming and even has a large water slide you can try after making your laps.

Do you have a place to deer hunt in Central Kentucky? We need to meet IRL while you're in town if so.

Thanks for the responses. I'm in Lacombe and I would rather swim there then the club in Slidell (though nice pool). Wanted to make sure it would be worth the e tra 6 mile drive.

Yes, my Irish friend has a place is Sadieville where he bow and rifle hunts Bambi all the time (great land north of Lexington). Always has successful hunts.

I'm in Lacombe

Go down to the Main Street boat launch. Plenty of parking. Just go jump in Bayou Lacombe and do your laps.

Yea, thought about that that until I met big papa (the 12 foot gator) in the next channel by the in laws. I'll pass...I'll stick with the chlorine waters.

You may want to call them. Pool may not be open in the winter and plus the whole Christmas Eve thing. But thanks for pointing out this exists. Not far from my in-laws and I've been looking for a place to swim when I'm in town.

Called. The pool is not opened today due to holidays but back to normal Monday. It's an outdoor pool heated. I probably need a couple days off anyway, I have already put in over 25000 this week since Sunday.
