But isn't Bucktown All-Stars just a cover band? And 20 beers is pretty weak for a beer festival.
I remember going to Mardi Gras World for a beer festival one summer. That one was incredible. It'sit not only had breweries, but gulf coast home brew clubs. I wouldn't have known about if it weren't for a mobile friend that whose club was over there.

Besides the one at the rural life museum with all the home brewers- I've never been impressed by the beers at beer fest in Louisiana. Everything served I feel can be found at any rouses. If you want to hit up a legit beer fest you need to head out west or east coast, Carolinas

That was the last year of the WYES beer fest. It was always at UNO for the longest time then moved to mardi gras world for the last year or two. Very good festival with a shite ton of the home brewers. The VIP tasting on Friday night was the bomb.
Now the only decent one left is the New Orleans on Tap fest at City Park.
Of course you can just go hop from Avenue Pub, Courtyard Brewery, and Nola Brewery in one afternoon and get better shite that any other fest in the state.

I used to live three doors down from avenue pub. Too many nights ended with a subliminally self righteous black ipas. Nothing like a high gravity beer to guarantee a nasty hangover.
