Weddings During Football Season

Why do people intend on doing this? Out of all the weekends in the year to do a wedding they do it right in the middle of football season. Does this irk anyone else or is it just me? What says the OT?

I had to go to one two weeks ago the same night of the Miss st-LSU game. I was so aggravated and of course I didn't get home to watch it until the 4th quarter cause the fiance wouldn't let us leave the reception early. It is exactly why our wedding is planned to be in June.

It rains less than spring, is cooler than swamp arse summer, but not quite freezing like winter. I wonder why?

I have a friend from college getting married on Halloween this year, which is also a football Saturday at USM. Who the frick does that?

Already been to two Saturday weddings since college football kicked off and about 7-8 total in 2015.

The last time Halloween was on a Saturday was also an LSU home game (vs. Tulane, but still) and I had some friends get married that night. They insisted on no costumes too.
I still went to the wedding, after tailgating most of the day.
