My neighborhood and our way of life is being taken over by gecko's. What the frick is going on and does anyone else have this issue where you live?

Same here, Mckinney (N Dallas) and my kid is collecting them. They die he gets more.

Mosquito eating anythings are never a problem.
The more the better.

They are finding bugs to eat. You'd rather have all the bugs that each gecko has eaten, than the gecko. When they are through feasting at your place they'll either die or move on.

They are everywhere. I can't remember as a kid them being this prevalent.

We went to my good buddy's wedding in New Orleans in June, and it was at City Park. Outside of where the receptions was, there was a wall, with a light, with a plastic cover over it.
Flies and bugs would flock to the light. These plump, chubby-arse geckos lived under the light cover, and would just slay bugs all night long. They literally had smiles on their fat-arse faces because they were eating so much. We were stoned and drunk so it was quite entertaining for a few minutes.

When they get in your house, vacuum those fricks if you have a bagless machine. Then release them outside. OTOH, some cultures consider them good luck.

Don't see how this would be an issue. They don't do any damage that I'm aware of, and they help to control the insect population. You know the pests that are actually a nuisance. Only reasons to dislike them that I can think of are dumb dumb dumb.

If they are the same invasive geckos we are starting to have here in MS then they can make quite a mess with their droppings. Smells pretty strong too.

As plagues go that one has some positives

I don't mind them, it's better than having roaches or excessive insects. Gecko eyes are fricking cool.

Because of the geckos which I rarely see except at night when they are positioned on my windows gorging on insects drawn to the light, I haven't had a single cobweb in my carport in the 20 years I've lived here.

Geckos will tear up a termite swarm.
