This guy is so impressive. Smart. No non-sense. Political leaders could learn a lot from him.

Can you do cliffs of what he says?

No non-sense guy on CNN? They must have failed to vet him first.

He speaks the truth. Straight talk. Blacks ,and whites, too, for that matter, should look up to him.

Went through the facts of the night.
Said that he was going to release tapes of negotiations with sniper for transparency purposes.
Talked about how cops do heroic work for $40k/yr and 98% don't deserve the negative treatment they receive.
Said that critics about decision to use robot have no right to criticize when doing it from the comforts of their office or home.
Made debate about policing and not himself when asked about his own personal story.
When asked about support, he pointed finger at media by saying dont just show excerpts of videos that further the agenda but show the whole story.
Etc.

I saw him yesterday on CNN and they were talking about his history. Lots of his loved ones died doing dumb shite but the fact that his son shot a cop and was then killed by police in return has to be tough on this man.

Negotiations with hostage?

He's nailing it. Great interview. He didn't get sucked into the gun control debate. He just kept it about what cops need to be successful. Told Jake the press was to blame as well by running partial videos and not explaining fully what the scenarios were.

What many do not know about him:
-Born and raised in the hood, product of the streets
- Brother is a victim of homicide
-Former police partner killed on duty
- Son had troubled past and was ultimately was shot and killed by Dallas PD
Despite all that, he's not bitter and perfect to represent this city.

Political leaders just want to line their pockets and get re-elected.

Dallas should be proud of him and their mayor for how they've handled themselves in the aftermath of this.

I saw that as well, was impressed by this guy,
You got that wrong, His son was killed by a cop. Only after he himself had killed an officer.
Just weeks after Brown was sworn in as chief, a gunman killed an officer from the nearby Lancaster Police Department and a young father on Father's Day 2010.
The cop killer turned out to be the police chief's son, David Brown Jr.
Lancaster police responded to the scene and fatally shot Brown Jr. more than a dozen times. An autopsy revealed he had PCP, marijuana and alcohol in his system,

I know it was a domestic dispute, but wasn't sure if the guy or cop shot him.
Son had mental illness and drug issues.
