Andy, Opie and Horatio
Give your opinion if you agree, disagree or are indifferent to his morality and how it pertains to today's society.

In 1955, Andy Griffith was probably a bleeding heart, left-wing, commie pinko liberal.
Same positions would be Atilla the Hun today - America has moved that far to the left.

You can't compare American then to America now its just too different. In a lot of ways it was better and much more simple but in a lot of other ways it was terrible. As black people about the good ole days and see what they think about them.

Really, because we've torn down confederate flags, statues and everything else deemed racist today based on things of yesteryear.

Don't we sometimes wish America was 1955 again, though? Is it just too embarrassing or too "libtard" today to admit it's ok to look out for each other?

Yes.
Evidence: he supported Obama

Otis had a disease.
Pretty sure that conservatives are very supportive of us all looking out for each other. It's the government trying to do it which they dislike, but the libtards love.

Liberal SJW types like to give other peoples money (i.e. taxes) to poor people. Giving your own money is not an SJW trait.

Being generous to charitable causes with your money is not being a Liberal SJW. They prefer to be generous with other people's money.

No. Andy was a democrat, much like many of our fathers and grandfathers were. This was before the marxists/socialists took ownership of the democrat party.

But look at it in the context of the 60's. If assistance was community action from both sides, how and when did it all change? How did this mindset die a painful death?

Boy evangelist turned actor Marjoe Gortner worked on the 1970s camp classic TV movie Pray For The Wildcats (basically a Deliverance ripoff TV style, about ad agency execs who ride their motorcycles down to Mexico. If you haven't seen it you haven't lived) with Robert Reed, William Shatner, and AG.
Gortner claimed that Reed spent all his spare time hitting on the male production assistants. MG said Shatner was an a-hole, which didn't surprise him as stories about "Shat" being difficult on the set were already common in Hollywood.
But he was shocked to learn Griffith was just as difficult - an uncooperative and selfish performer who mistreated underlings and was rude to fans. The COMPLETE opposite of his public image, a lot closer to "Lonesome Rhodes" of A Face In The Crowd than "Andy Taylor".
