$9 bucks an hr is pretty good IMO.

Federal minimum wage is 7.25.

I have no clue how someone lives off $360 gross a week. Not saying they should be paid more, just blows my mind that's what some adults live on.

If you want to be entertained, post this on the PT board and sit back.

good for Wal Mart

and this is how its supposed to work, let the business decide what to pay the employees, not have the government force a minimum wage on the business

Interesting. That means the average worker will be making more than the average customer...

I tend to go to Wal-mart late at night a lot. 1 register open, on a good night 2. Long arse lines too with tons of people having a shop cart full.

What's sad is many of the workers will think this raise came from Obama and not from Walmart

and that's why i don't give bums money on the side of the street. Go take a bath, go get a pair of pants and a shirt from a charity store and go work at wal-mart.

Job I was in before my current one paid $10 an hour and I brought home a little over 700 dollars after taxes every two weeks. You do what you gotta do. I paid rent (500). Car insurance (100), and had the rest of the money to spend how I wished on food, cell, gas, etc. It was tight, but not unlivable. it's all about budgeting your money. Hell, you don't even have to sit down and do a budget if you just make smart financial decisions.

I'm hoping the quality of employee goes up at least a little bit.

Worst case they cut back on employees and the 4/30 registers open gets cut back to 2/30 registers
