I am taking men's one a day New Chapter. I was informed before that you should switch your vitamin every few months. What do you take and do you like it. I'd rather stick to a one a day, but as long as I don't need to take it multiple times a day. Any suggestions would help.

You probably don't need to take vitamins at all.

one a day vitamins are synthetic vitamins which are not as readily absorbed as natural vitamins!! and that's a FACT.

and yes we do need vitamins and minerals and enzymes, as much of the packaged food we consume are missing, enzymes and amino acids vitamins and minerals.

I take an assortment...one recent addition Power Cell, contains ionic minerals, amino acids, enzymes, concentrated oxygen...it's fantastic.

read the entire document;
senatedocument264 dot com, then it will sink into your head why we all need them and why we're not getting that from the ground. where we used to!!!

Studies indicate that taking multivitamins increases your risk of all-cause mortality. Take that as you see fit.

Most of those supplements of any sort are snake oil. Getting your vitamins from your food is the best way to go.

thanks. I'm about to read over it now. I haven't heard that one a day vitamins are synthetic and do not absorb as much as natural vitamins. Power Cell is the vitamin you take now? Or is it one of the many you take?

Take whole food real vitamins. They actually work. These are what I take. Its just dehydrated and condensed vegetables and other stuff good for you. You have to take like 3 horse pills each morning, but they really are great.

I have way more energy, sleep better at night, shite better shits, etc.

ETA:

These are actually the capsules which are smaller, but you have to take 6 a day

I have the pressed pills which are huge and you take 3. Personal preference.

VitaminShoppe.com always has solid deals on them.

You should record your diet and see what you're not getting. Or just take the multivitamin. Really doesn't matter.

Fish oil is a good one to take.

Those are all filler.

Get your doc to write a script for pharmaceutical grade supplements.

I actually do record what I eat daily. I eat and have a very healthy life style. I just don't know enough to know what I'm getting enough of and not enough of. I do research, however, you can find 10 articles on one thing and 10 opposing those.

I take fish oil morning and night. Per dr orders

Yes sir. Most compound pharmacies can put them together for you. Your Rx insurance may cover, as well.

Good luck.

I prefer vitamins designed around organic carriers so that the body actually absorbs the minerals. Most vitamins just pass through the system.

This is what I use and feel has worked best for me so far: LINK

one of many, it's more of a digestive aid to the food I'm eating at the time, to insure full digestion and absorbtion...it's a liquid I keep in the car.

forgot to mention, Bioplasma...12 cell salts, been loading up on them for a year...it wasn't til I read that specific cell salts actually remove debris from the body did it actually ring a bell then got serious for me.

I know lots of folks just listen to their doctor, but I listened to my father who told me, doctors only get 2 weeks of nutrition and are not the go to people to see for that info.

Dad was an avid reader and most about medicine and nutrition...had near 5,000 books in the house...

Just take vit D, Magnesium Glycinate, and Biotin.

You don't need the vast majority of what's in most multi's, which are heavy in what you don't need and low in what you do.

I have heard that our bodies want to get the nutrients from eating, and not from a pill. Something about the digestive process being part of the absorption process? Idk.

AND I've probably bought into another bs thing by trying this texas superfoods thing... but they have a diff process. they dry the fruits/vegetables and crush them down to a pill form. so you, in fact, are digesting the stuff.

I've noticed a couple of smallish changes that I've liked. The mental/physical part of it could be psychosomatic in part, so I'm waiting until I've downed the whole bottle to see if I can be honest and say it was worth the money.. one thing I do know for sure... I have always had a slight yellowness of the outer parts in the whites of my eyes. I had something they called gilbert's syndrome? idk.. it's really nothing, except it can cause jaundice in some people's skin, and it affects most of their eyes.

in my case, my eyes just a bit. it's always annoyed me. i took this stuff, and i didn't even KNOW to look for any changes in it, and it has noticeably made my eyes whiter.

idk if that's any help at all, but there ya go.

I already know how you're going to respond to this, but here...

The above studies indicate either no impact or a small increase in the risk of mortality.

just a quick comment about aloe in the vitamins you linked

most folk don't know, they can actually heal a sick liver with aloe...it has to be pure, but it does heal.

was told a story of an alcoholic, with a very bad liver, got scared he was gonna die, heard about the aloe, and was able to heal much of the liver thru drinking pure aloe juice...he kinda over did it, like a quart a day for a month...and had it checked a cpl months later and had a very improved liver function.

I'll have to look into that vitamin, looks interesting

well, no offense to you and your beliefs of doctors and the ama backed studies, but my Father never led me astray on health issues, I'll trust him over a stack of ama studies.
