He is lucky he didn't hit his head on the corner of that trashcan. Could have been worse.
The cope was trying to just tell him to leave.

Definitely not Kenner.

Why are you trying to stir crap up? All the trooper did was pin the guy down to make it easier to get him in cuffs since he wasn't cooperating. Nothing "violent" about it.

Bourbon Street is such a shite show, waste of law enforcement man hours having to police all these arse holes.

Go look at my post history. I am not a police sympathizer. That shite right there was textbook. One cop dealing with 2 guys. Neutralize one. Get the other one to the ground. Its not like he went straight for a slam. He tried to take him down normally and the guy wouldnt go down.

Waste of enforcement? You mean other than protecting Bourbon street and the millions in tourism that it brings? Idiot

For future reference, here is the rule on drunk confrontations with police in New Orleans.
The entire conversation should never involve more than two words from you.
They say some version of "go away" and you say "Yes Sir" or "OK" or "Yep" and then get the hell out of there.
Any version of a conversation where you attempt to persuade them, talk your way out of something or think you are going to compliment or insult them isn't going to work out.

Based on recent reports of crime in the quarter, they don't have enough. The quarter is New Orleans "golden egg" regarding tourism. There should be so many cops down there the tourists are tripping over them.
