come the frick on. nothing wrong with Junteenth

it is cultural appropriation for those from the non-gulf south, but that's oft-ignored if a marginalized group steals another's culture

Its the day African Americans recognize their freedom from Slavery aka their Independence Day.

There are cookouts and BBQs around the country in this day. June 19th

You mean just the African Americans in the south? Since the Imancipation proclamation didn't free the north slaves. And what about the already free African Americans some of whom even owned their own slaves? When/what do they celebrate?

Junteenth is a legitimate 3rd Coast celebration

being celebrated elsewhere is kind of bullshite, though

That's a faulty generalization.
As in "me" people?
What people specifically?

And everyone takes off work? So what's different from every other day? Somebody should go start their own country. Back in the homeland. It can be Juneteenth EVERYDAY!!!!
