We're that the officer was responding to a prowler suspect call around 9 p.m. The officer was shot inside the home he was responding to.
The Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office and Bossier SWAT team are also on the scene.
Officers are searching cars in the Del Rio Street area, redirecting traffic and denying access to motorists.
The Times is also reporting that he was killed.

Caddo Parish Constable's Office posted on its Facebook Wednesday night: "May God bless the family of the SPD officer that lost his life tonight serving our city. Please keep this officer's family in your prayers tonight as well as our local law enforcement. He died protecting us.''

Just read your earlier post and am sorry about the incident when you were young, but be real. I hope anyone who passes that situation would have helped. We need some protectors, but to take a job where you continuously incarcerate people for profit is not right.
