"a case built on a cellphone from the murder scene that led investigators to the Lee brothers; ballistics from a gun found in the brothers’ house that matched bullets fired in the deadly fracas;"
Seems pretty straight forward to me.
Sucks the defense is playing the "you were to high" card.

Your posts sure seem like you are trying to lead a horse to water over the victims playing a part IMHO

I'm sorry if that's what you took away from my posts, because that was not my intention at all. This was not the "fault" of the victims.
The point I've been trying to get across - sadly, with very minimal success - is that it's extremely rare for someone to just be just randomly murdered. The girl visiting N.O. from Boston, Amy something, who was killed from a falling bullet on NYE about 25 years ago: That's a random murder.
I still don't think that the six guys who broke down that door in the middle of the night selected it at random. Maybe, but I don't think so. That observation is not analogous to saying to saying it's the fault of the victims. The Lee brothers and their cohorts were there for a reason, apparently completely unknown to the unlucky residents, but they were there with a reason and bad intent.
I don't know what else to say. I'm not trying to break anyone's balls or blame the victims. I surely wouldn't want to be in Cork's position. I hope he can put this all behind him when the trial(s) are finally over, but that's much easier said than done.

Literally no one has brought up skin color but you
Hell, I don't even know if COrk and his friends are white, just assuming so based on Gadknot's post/scenario.

The link in the OP said SIX people were kicking the door in but only two are on trial. Does ANYONE know what happened to the other four and know why they aren't being charged with murder as well? ANYONE?

I don't either, i'm just assuming they are from the support they are getting and that they went to Holy Cross

I don't think they were ever positively identified. Cork can go into it if he wants to...
Posted on 5/20/15 at 2:50 pm to gadknot
FTR, he and the others would be getting this support if they were black graduates of Holy Cross, at least from many on here.
And still, your need to bring that up at all when all it is is a hypothetical meant to marginalize the actual story is pathetic as hell. What an odd thread to spout off about it, regardless of the accuracy of your opinion.

No black kids at Holy Cross?!?
The murder victim was white. And odds are, if your nickname is Corky, that makes you a white guy. No clue about the third guy.
(Although I knew a black guy nicknamed Scooter, so who knows...)

I'm not marginalizing anything, just trying to figure out if there was something more than 6 random guys breaking into a random house to shoot people. As a resident of the city, selfishly I would hope it's not totally random as that would be quite disturbing to me.

Your suppositions about the OT reaction for a hypothetical situation in which this occurred the same way to black guys in no way reconciles with your stated goal. Not at all. Unless you're an idiot.

I wish he would. It will be a shame if those 4 murderers get to just walk.
Posted on 5/20/15 at 3:03 pm to lsu480
I don't think the Lee brothers are cooperating and I'm not sure the survivors CAN identify the other four. It sounds like things happened pretty fast. The guy who answered the door went into a bedroom and out of a window, Huth into a bathroom where he died, and then Cork's situation. I don't know whether or not he, or the third victim, saw everyone's faces.

sorry, I had the nerve to go with two separate narratives at one time. should have kept it simple. I apoligize

FYI the third guy is creole (mixed)

Went from horror, to tears of rage , to just tears, that's all I got.

What's up with this 4th guy that was in the house? NBD if its a sore subject.

I don't think he was saying it to be sneaky or anything but I did notice that as well

Cork, I want to thank you for your kind words. I remember the night of the last postponement and our exchanges on the O-T. I have thought of you and when this trial would come to pass on many occasions since.
I thank you for letting me know this. I am happy and honored that I was able to be of some assistance.
You are most welcome. You have already thanked me quite enough with the strength that you showed in the testimony that I read. My wish for you is that you are able to get through the rest of the trial with the same grace as was portrayed in your testimony; put this tragedy behind you (or at least in some perspective); and live a happy, good, and fulfilling life.
My very best to you, Cork.

You should be disturbed by it but that is what can happen when you live within a short drive of thugs. They don't use logic like you or I would, they act more on emotions like rage and look for instant gratification regardless of the consequences.
