I don't think he will get off, but I don't think he'll be convicted of murder and you know damn well that's what the jessie jackson's of the world will want. Anything less than a murder conviction, and there will be an uprising. I'd look into getting some riot insurance.

I'll be shocked if he's not convicted to tell you the truth. Mostly because of the camera. There are level headed and open minded people that can see different points of view, but the masses aren't like that.

The City itself is so afraid of riots happening again I think all officials will want him found guilty

No bearing on the cops actions. Zero. Especially since the cop did not even know.

Yep. When I initially heard about it. I said the same thing about his arrest and how couldn't he be in jail.

I also thought the cop was dragged by the vehicle, and the reports made the guy out to be drunk at the time. After seeing the video, it doesn't look good for the cop and his defense. The bottle of Gin actually looked unopened to me.

The guy never got loud or seemed to move too fast. Their defense will be the cop thought he may run over him, but man that'll be hard to prove.

60 arrests or not, you don't shoot a guy like that.

And I'm sure you were upfront about the fact that you didn't have yours with you.

I didn't make a statement that implied anything like that, just pointed out a fact. However tragic, it's one less drain on society.

"Over the past 20 years, Dubose has been charged more than 75 times in Hamilton County. Most of the charges were indeed non-violent: driving without a license, joyriding, having windows tinted too dark, misdemeanor drug possession. An assault charge in 2013 was dismissed. He’s faced eviction seven times, and he had his license suspended indefinitely in January by the Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles."

Once again proves that this guy flat out refused to follow society's rules. Too bad he never learned accountability and responsibility from his family (or pastor/teacher/coach).

Full agreed, it's just that he put himself in a situation where that was a possibility at least 60 times.

I haven't been arrested since I was a teenager, but when I get pulled over, the possibility of getting shot by the cop never crosses my mind. Maybe it's because I answer his questions and I don't attempt to flee. Who knows?

Why is everyone saying that the driver was just taking his seatbelt off and got murdered? Is there another angle I'm not seeing?

First, let me start by saying the officer should have not shot, but when the officer asked to take seatbelt off, the driver, with his left hand grips the doors and pulls it closed and with his right hand turns the ignition on. This is not removing seatbelt. This means..."i'm about to bolt".

The 3rd officer who testified to seeing the murderer dragged by the victims car should be charged with accessory to murder.
