i wouldnt recommend throwing a car in gear and hitting the gas while an officer is at the window, that is assault with deadly weapon. The officer has a right to protect himself. All i can say is if you want to act like a hard arse when an officer has you pulled over for breaking the law, be prepared to get treated like one.
The cop is being charged with murder as a result of his actions so clearly it wasn't assault with a deadly weapon for the dude to try to drive off.

Fully agreed, all I'm saying is that the guy got himself in the situation.

Hell I should leave my good job and go back into law enforcement so I can shoot people in the head that don't comply with my commands.
Run away..i'm shootin that arse.
Drive off...shootin that arse.
Don't put out cig....bout to light that arse up
Point a toy gun....I'm shoot dat arse and say I yelled 3 times for you to drop it.
Carry a gun in wal-mart...shootin dat arse
Carry a gun in ATL airport with 90rd mag...shootin dat arse unless you're white and know the law.

Don't have to think about it. When you combine our demographics with our freedoms, this is the result.
It's really really funny when in one moment you tell me I have to comply with all LEO orders or get shot, then in the next moment tell me I am lucky to have to have "freedoms" and have our demographics.

You can't be fricking serious.
We don't know (unless info has since came out) nor did the cop know when he killed him. He shot him in the head because he "thought" he "might" have a suspended license and was driving? Jesus Christ, if that's justifiable then cops can do anything. Also, fwiw, the driver did say "he forgot his license" before being shot.
Maybe because the cop had no right to open his door for him. He was probably startled by it. He didn't slam it shut, he just lightly gripped it to close. Not an act of aggression by any means. You also can't shoot someone because you think they "might not be" an innocent person for whatever hypothetical crime you come up with assigning to him for no rational reason at all.
Would you say this if a cop came into a house party where a couple 19 year olds were drinking, and started firing? No, you wouldn't? Weird

So did the guy have a suspended license? If so, why? Why was he driving? If it wasn't suspended, why not give the cop your license or come right out and tell him that you left it at home?

Not sure how the fact that he's black has anything to do with this discussion, but I guess it's on your mind for some reason?
Nice try...

He 's being charged with murder, but I'd bet a lot of money in the end he is not convicted of murder. Guess what happens when this dumbass is not convicted of murder???

One of my stores is on UC campus and it was pretty tense. The shut down the campus and a lot of main roads and multiple SWAT teams were driving around.
I had to keep all my employees in the store, and was nervous as hell. It is sooo ghetto already if he wasn't indicted I would have shut the store down.
IF he actually gets off we may have to board up the windows. I'm glad I live in Columbus

Why didn't you quote the rest? Doesn't fit your agenda?

With the players on the U of Cincinnati's football and basketball teams the past several years, I would bet those cops have seen some pretty significant criminal activity on campus.
Ok good point. I give you that.

What a crazy situation?
The cop and the driver are both idiots. Okay, the driver started the fricking car to drive away. Then the cop sticks his gun inside and discharges a round. I'm not on anyone's side nor do I believe the video to be conclusive.
Was the suspect and cop both scared of each other? I would say yes...

Also I'm not going through all these pages but has this been addressed?
This is a UCPD officer. They only have jurisdiction within UC campus. (Or at least to my understanding. I graduated from UC last May.)
The traffic stop was not on campus or part of campus, so I don't even think he should have a right to make the stop? Could be wrong on where their jurisdiction ends though

True story- I watched Lance Stephenson knock some dude out cold with one punch at a party when he was here for his only year

I read he had 75 prior arrests FWIW.

Heard on news city was letting them patrol in areas by campus because of high crime rate. But I don't think that means for them to pull people over for not having a front license plates. Basically for store robberies, assaults, etc.
Here in Joplin...campus police can patrol or arrest people if a crime is committed a block away from campus. They aren't allowed to give traffic citations. Pull people over for simple shite. JPD does that.

I don't think he will get off, but I don't think he'll be convicted of murder and you know damn well that's what the jessie jackson's of the world will want. Anything less than a murder conviction, and there will be an uprising. I'd look into getting some riot insurance.

ABC is leading off with this story. They're going to kick it in high gear and get everybody juiced up.

ive been pulled over, in ohio, without a physical license on me.
all the cop did was ask for my name and ss# and then went back to his cruiser to run my info.
this is sickening.
