Old men and their red trucks is just a given.
One of my grandpas had a red truck, the other, drove white Lincoln cars and most recently an SUV because his wife was a widow of a Ford employee in her first marriage.
He drove Dodge trucks before he married her, in whatever color he could get the best deal on.

Silver on my Tundra because it is the most low maintenance color on a truck and it looks great with dark tint and big tires baw
- Heavy scratches show up less due to gray primer
- Light scratches like swirls/webs show up less on light colors (makes black/navy look like shite)
- Great contrast with black (trim/rims/tires/door handles/dark tint)
- Dust doesn't look like shite like on black
- Dirt doesn't look like shite like on white
- Still has metallic shine unlike white
- Heavy scratches show up less due to gray primer

If you're wealthy, you don't drive any color pick up truck. If you're hood rich, you drive black trucks.

Both vehicles we have at the moment are some form of pearl white. Both were the only colors that actually had a premium surcharge compared to the others. Just happened to fall that way, certainly didn't buy it for that reason. But we like white, and I'd say that's a pretty good indication that white isn't just for the po' folk.
Now I will never understand people buying red vehicles unless it's like a corvette. A red pick up truck is hideous. We had one "tan" vehicle and everything else has been white or black.
