Along with giving pedestrians the right away when crossimg the street. Just makes sense really which is why we probably don't do it.

uhh frick no.

Pedestrians can wait their turn and cross at the designated time when the traffic lights allow it. Where I live people think that just becuse they're on foot they have the right of way 100% of the time and will just start crossing the street as soon as they get to the curb. It's infuriating.

Except in crosswalks where they do in fact have ROW 100 percent of the time.

I'll give any cyclist the right away as long as they don't mind me running over them with my SUV.

Stoplights and crossing signals definitely have a say as to who has the right of way

So you're telling me if there is a designated crosswalk going across a highway, the onus isn't on teh pediestrian to stop, make sure traffic is clear, and then carefully cross? They can just stroll right on out despite traffic coming?

Taht's bullshite.

F you and your bike. Go get a license and a tag for that POS if you want the same rights to the road!

Until then I will continue to clip you with my side mirror.

I would say that it's not done because A) it would be too expensive and B) it's not needed.

This coming from a long-time cyclist.

Yeah! Let's borrow more money from China so bike riders can have their own lane!

Is it was easier and I had a path I may bike to work (only a 10 minutes drive currently.) Seems more people would bike if it became more convienant though because in Baton Rouge at least it is dangerous. Not on the interstate but within the city.
