Unhappy married couples that stayed together

Years ago, I knew a married couple that had been together for 25+ years, accumulated a lot of property and money and somewhere during all those years together, grew to hate each other. The husband was a land developer/building contractor in the Covington/Mandeville area, I don't really know what his wife did for a living, but they decided to stay together, because they didn't want to go through the court system to divide up all stuff they had accumulated. They had one daughter together but she was already grown and out of the house.

They lived in separate houses, the husband lived in Kenner and the wife lived in Mandeville. They both agreed to the arrangement with one stipulation, the husband couldn't frick anyone within a 100 mile radius of the wife. I was told by their niece whom I was dating at the time, that the wife didn't care about him fricking someone, she didn't want her friends and family to know about it.
