Uber upcharging today?

I figure they probably are but didn't know how much and if it fluctuates with time. Trying to catch one from Acadian in about an hour.

The stadium. Prolly just get them to drop me on highland and Acadian so not far. Also might need it after the game too.

Uber is paying their drivers right now $22 per hour, now until 6 p.m.

These are just guaranteed fares for their drivers, normally does not apply.
Uber is trying to attract enough drivers to meet the demand today. Otherwise if they can't, surcharges will be through the roof.

Close and try again in 5 minutes, that is what I did and got a ride 5 bucks cheaper. Of course I had a driver charge me 5 bucks after HE cancelled on me.

Yes
It's a minimum guarantee, if you earn more than the hourly guarantee then you don't get the per hour on top of fares
