....for the 1st time in Lafayette.

I cannot imagine using a taxi service ever again when not in a large city.

What would make someone drive a taxi in Lafayette and not 've an Uber driver? Who makes more $ ?

Just gotta watch out for that surge pricing. Really screwed me one time. But yeah, I love Uber.

It tells you if the rate is higher than normal.

Doesn't go up for more than 1 passenger (i think)

No money exchanges hands. All done with card on file.

Don't really care about money. 130 am and me and wife are hammered, $15 bucks is fine with me.

Open the app, and it tells you how far (minutes) an Uber driver is. Press the order button, and car heads your way.

It's all fun and games until an uber driver rapes you or tries to sell you drugs.

Apparently, lol

We have high schoolers in the neighborhood that have driven us several times over the past year...So I never really needed it. Many times, wife doesn't drink.

I use uber at least every other weekend. It's mandatory here around the beach cities of L.A. county. A quick uber to Santa Monica or Redondo Beach is a game changer.

If you don't mind me asking, from where and to where did you go? (Not looking for your address just general area) What was the cost? I've never used it in Lafayette. I always use it in BR and NOLA

Ubered in a Tesla, downtown Houston a couple of weeks ago. Guy had a West Point license plate, turns out he was an Old grad who got laid off from the O&G industry.

Anyway, uber is the future.

How does Shreveport not have Uber yet?
