Would be interesting to see if the rates would be similar to BR.

Aaaaaaand, it's officially not cool anymore. All good things must come to an end though, I suppose.
I wonder if Uber is going to start an on demand Affliction shirt delivery service in Lafayette though.

How do the BR rates compare to cabs?
I'll be so happy to see these hoodrat pos cab services we have take a hit and eventually go under.

I've used it 3 times in BR, average cost was around $15 but well worth it to ride in a clean vehicle with a non pos cabbie.

If any of you guys haven't used it yet, use uberbt320 for your promo code.

From their partner email:
Starting Friday, Uber riders will have 5 FREE RIDES up to $25 for the first two weeks after launch so demand will be high.
Not sure how to go about getting this, but I would imagine if is like past promotions, it is only for new users in Lafayette.
You can also use my promo code (IDOTY) within the app to get free rides as well.

Uber is continuing to get cheaper. I'm not exactly sure what the rate is now but it's not bad at all.
Ride sharing is awesome too. If you're splitting a cab, add your friends and it charges everyone evenly. No need to worry about paying people back or remember who paid for the last one, etc.
The rates will be a little high in Lafayette to start but once they get more drivers it'll go down. There is always someone driving in BR now, even at 4a.m.
