TULSA, Okla. (AP) -- Prosecutors in Tulsa, Oklahoma, charged a white police officer who fatally shot an unarmed black man on a city street with first-degree manslaughter Thursday.
Tulsa County District Attorney Steve Kunzweiler filed the charges against officer Betty Shelby, who shot and killed 40-year-old Terence Crutcher on Sept. 16. Dashcam and aerial footage of the shooting and its aftermath showed Crutcher walking away from Shelby with his arms in the air.
The footage does not offer a clear view of when Shelby fired the single shot that killed Crutcher. Her attorney has said Crutcher was not following police commands and that Shelby opened fire when the man began to reach into his SUV window.

So she gets charged for manslaughter when he wasn't obeying lawful commands? Interesting. Not saying he deserved to get shot, but why does this have to keep happening? Cops have a stressful job and in an instant can be killed because it doesn't take long for someone to pull a gun on them, so just listen so these situations don't happen.
And I'm saying this as someone who doesn't have the best past with cops. But I learned to do as they say when being pulled over instead of doing the exact opposite.
Edited to change to manslaughter since OP is a dick that didn't even include link. "I have to be first to post this on TD.com. Ooooohh em geeee". Idiot.

Seeking Manslaughter.
Does it still has to go to a grand jury.

slap on the wrist, especially if it goes to trial

So she gets charged for murder when he wasn't obeying lawful commands? Interesting.

Actually I think its fricked up this women is being charged with manslaughter. What else was she suppose to do? The dude kept walking to his vehicle then decided to reach inside. Was she suppose to say to herself "lets see if he pulls out a gun and shoots me first before I do anything".
