Are there any places in or around the Gatlinburg area that allows alcohol on tubing trips? Looking for a day of floating, drinking, and relaxing. First few days have all been theme parks and tourist traps. Thanks

I'm not sure if they allow it but head out to Townsend, TN. They have a bunch of tubing places out there.

It's a straight shot through Wears Valley. Which is a great drive.

Will be there at the end of next week.

Don't know about the PF or Gburg area tubing, but it is illegal in Townsend to have alcohol on the river.

None that I know of allow drinks. But yeah,Townsend is the place to go for tubing. At the beginning of pigeon forge at the burger king, take a left if you are coming from Gatlinburg or PF. (Right if coming from Sevierville.) Might be called wears valley road. Take it all the way down to the stop sign and there's tubing everywhere. Stop at goats on the roof on your way there and or bootleggers bbq. Worth it!

LINK

"We generally take a plastic water container with us (32 oz.) and clip it to our tube using a carabiner clip. No one complained about it and it just floats with you."

However... LINK

"It is prohibited to consume alcohol while tubing on the Little River according to the city of Townsend, Tn. If caught, you can be fined and/or placed under arrest. It is also unlawful to consume alcohol inside the Great Smoky Mountains National Park unless you are at a campsite."
