I'm telling u I've had these plenty of times and it took a long time for me to learn my lesson. It's not a normal pimple you can just pop and go about your day. You'll have to endure a week or so of a bump on your face, but if you take care of it and don't irritate it it will eventually subside. Trust me that bump on your face is a hell of a lot better than a having a scabby,,red, volcano on your face instead. Stop touching it altogether.
You don't need to do a compress for 30 minutes. Right before you go to bed and you've already washed your face normally - Apply a hot compress for about 3 minutes, take it off for 3 minutes, reapply, re-remove. Do it a few times and don't sleep pimple-side down. The heat and cool cycles will cause your pores to expand and contract and your body will push out the stuff that doesn't belong.
This works great when you feel a sty forming on your eye as well.
