There are cheaper ways to hang your laundry than a $1k treadmill.

Drive to LSU lakes and run those trails? Or maybe any other park? You don't have to start and stop at your house

What would the usage be? We talking walking a couple times a week or are we talking running 5 miles a day?

Most treadmills collect dust after a short while. Then you might get $75 for it. They are a waste of $. Best to buy a used one on Craigslist

I want a Peloton sooooo badly.

$2400 for one though (2k plus 250 shipping/set up and $150 taxes).

Maybe later this year, my husband wants one as well.

For 1k any treadmill u get will be trash. The only solid piece of cardio equipment for that price is a rower.

As someone who went through 4 "residential ". Treadmills all under a $1000, trust me it is not worth it

Pro form is the worst. If you plan to run more than 30 miles per week, suck it up and get the baseline Precor model from a home gym store.

It runs about $1999.

The main issue with anything below $1000 is that the motor conks out- no difference between 1 or 2 horsepower

In addition, I am 6'3" and the residential belts are not wide enough for my stride while the precor one is 20 wide and 60 inch length- perfect

It doesn't have some computer keyboard with a million things but it is irrelevant if u have a smartphone

The key is the motor being powerful enough and that's where your money should be spent

Also, precor has a LIFETIME warranty if the motor wears out

Precor but you'll need to go with reconditioned to stay under a grand. Call local dealer. Also, get a prescription from your doctor...no sales tax.

Don't go cheap if going treadmill. Look up superfitness used equipment on Facebook. Buy a nice used commercial model shipped to you. Or better yet get a c2/xebex rower or a air assault/xebex bike. All will last a life time and are way better than a damn treadmill.
