Maybe. This is going to be a tough case for the prosecution. They have to have her testimony to have a chance. They just have to hope the jury looks past her shortcomings and latches on to what they need from her.

Yep. They don't have much choice but to let her testify that Zimmerman approached Trayvon first. It's about all they have besides a he said/she said argument where one is alive and the other is dead.

This is a political prosecution meant to appease voters. There is no way the DA brings this to trial in a normal case with such little evidence on their side and their only significant witness already admitting to perjury. To get a unanimous guilty verdict, or even 5 out of 6 would be close to a miracle, but the DA can at least say "I tried."

Drinking alcohol and smoking weed in general is not a credibility issue. However, I suspect the defense will attempt to get it in by questioning if she had been drinking or smoking pot the night of the relevant phone calls.

This. And even if they can't admit the tweets about smoking/drinking, just the defense attorney asking the question of if she had been drinking or smoking that night will be enough to raise even more doubt about her testimony. The admitted perjury is huge. The fact that she is gloating all over twitter about the case and showing off her "courtroom nails" may be even more damaging to the prosecution. It's going to be relevant to her credibility because it is going to show a motive for her to lie about what she heard.....because she wants to stay in the spotlight.

Defense lawyer is setting up the twitter thing. She's testifying how she lied to keep her privacy....he's then going to move into the photos/twitter blasts and everything else. This witness is awful. Nobody in the world could find her credible.... Occasionally they flash to Trayvon's parents, and they look pretty disgusted with the testimony. I think they know things are headed south right now....

The prosecution's witness was killing Zimmerman's lawyer on cross.

Wow this is like interviewing a small child. She is going to have no credibility.

Interesting article. Having read it, nothing in those tweets would make me feel that her testimony is more or less credible. The lying under oath (I think it was under oath) is another matter. If you'll lie under oath about something like why you didn't go to a funeral, I think that is pretty damaging to credibility.

It is so sad to see such a great failure of the education system and a significant American sub-culture. (I know many people view these things along racial lines but I think it's all about culture). Kinda breaks my heart.

On a scale of 1-10, I'd say about a 1.25
