I got one of the ticket for not stopping while taking a right turn. The ticket was from video monitor. It had my license plate pic.
I was going to pay it but my collegue thinks only idiots pay it and it is unconstitutional and cannot enforce it.
His reasoning is that they cannot prove i'm driving the car
What do you guys think?

Don't pay that shite, there's a million reasons not to but the most important is that it encourages this kind of shite company to continue their shenanigans.

1. Constitution (5th Amendment) does not apply here because the Traffic Cam infractions in BR are classified as civil cases and not subject to subsequent warrants.
2. The reason most people don't pay is due to the fact that it costs too much for the city to move forward.

ETA: pay if you feel like it.

I recently got one in Selma, Alabama at 4:35 am as I was heading home from working in Arkansas. I paid it only because I was in my company truck and had to. Pouring down rain and red light goes from green to red and made a judgement call to either run it or slide through the intersection and run it. I was unaware that bumfrick Selma, AL had red light cameras but I guess when most of the town is on the government tit, they feel the need to make their revenue somehow.

If your time isn't worth more than the fine, show up on your court date and see if they can prove it.

Pretty much this. Pay unless you're willing to only park on your private property off the street or hide your plates forever to avoid booting.

Friend of mine didn't pay one in Florida. They eventually turned it over to a collection agency. He paid it then because he didn't want it fricking up his credit. Not sure if they were bluffing or if they really do shite like that.

Just pay the ticket it's only $110 - if you don't you'll get booted and pay an extra $110 for removal.

I've gotten a couple of these in NOLA. Here's a few things I've learned

1. If you don't pay they will boot you

2. The way they boot you is by driving a van around town that scans license plates.

3. Its very very simple to get a new license plate from an auto notary. Cheap too.

4. It's refreshing to do this and frick the city out of money they think they're owed. Even better now that it is run by SJW instigators and out of town carpet baggers.

5. Don't buy the threats that this will frick up your credit. You did not enter into an agreement with Redflex. If this does show up on your credit report, dispute it and have it removed. The onus is on Redflex to prove that you entered into a contract with them.

6. frick the City of New Orleans. They won't see a dime from me.
