Traffic jam question: merging

Who are the scumbags that speed down the open lane and try to merge after passing everyone else waiting in line. I refuse to let them in and would love to slit their tires.
Waiting in traffic in Lake Charles due to a wreck currently.

That's actually the officially recommended way for people to merge. Sorry you don't know how to drive.

If people merge at the last point as intended
It shouldn't like a zipper, but you're a dick

That's pretty trashy of you

My favorite part is when the 18 wheelers get in the open lane and pace the slow lane blocking that shite from happening.

If everyone drove properly and went to the end of the merge lane, we wouldn't have these problems. You're not supposed to immediately get over when there's traffic

No supposed to be in the left lane except for passing dicks
But then again you would be passing everybody ha

From a traffic engineering perspective, late merging is the way to go. All you early mergers do is unnecessarily push the bottle back even further.

There shouldn't be an open lane. Merging way too early creates worse traffic. Everyone at the merge point takes turns letting people in. It goes much more smoothly.

I think the OP means people that drive on the shoulder to drive past everybody when there is an accident

So, if right lane is closed up ahead and left lane is moving slowly, drivers should speed along in the right lane, passing the left lane drivers, and moving over at the last possible minute. Sorry, Homie don't play that.

Not quite accurate. Drivers should use as much highway as is available. Doing this reduces congestion.

If I'm being impeded because cars are jumping the line ahead of me, it's increasing my congestion.

It appears we have a large amount of people who don't know how to drive on the OT.
Sad!

It's called forming two lines.
