Traffic backed up on I 10 east outside Lafayette because idiot state trooper

Tried to make a Uturn on the medium from I 10 West and got stuck in mud. They're pulling him out now and blocking traffic for a mile.
I guess he saw a speeder in the opposite direction, got wood and forgot it's been raining.
