The Nordschleife is a toll road open to the public. It’s closed only during testing events and races. A lap costs 23 euros (about $35).

Drove a Renault Escape in France this summer for three weeks. Pretty nice car.

I rented a Megane for a couple of weeks in Ireland several years ago. It was OK, the steering wheel was on the wrong side of the cabin. Irish roads are narrow and blind. A nimble car was a welcomed blessing.
