JDs are basically certificates of completion of a white water rafting training course level of prestige.

If you have to ask you're probably not qualified for either.

IMHO the only field more reprehensible than Legal is HR. I wouldn't trust most HR folks farther than I can spit, most of them may actually be lizardpeople bent on destroying humanity.

A large part depends on the school. A law degree from Whittier or Thomas M. Cooley is largely a piece of expensive toilet paper. A HR Masters from Stanford or another top school is probably an excellent degree.

Does it really matter? Both will be lucky to be turning tricks in an alley for five bucks upon successful completion of either.

My wife had a job before she ever passed the Bar and she was far from the top of her class having to take care of a toddler in her spare time.

I have worked for 3 large firms and like others I do not trust Hr. They are management shills who add virtually nothing to a firm .....
I also work a lot with lawyers and if you have to ask the question .... well

We went thru a large reorganization and I had some extra benefits coming due to extra travel and the sh.. Hr put me thru was amazing. I asked one shill what it's like to screw over a colleague ....
I rank them slightly higher than call center workers. If that's what u want to do for a career..
