Classic tornadic supercell structure with hook echo. Something nasty was passing just west of Danville, AR around 6:00pm CDT

Nah. Not a supercell and no hook.

Everything in the south is crowded and piss ant. Some decent cells but nothing worth getting excited over.

A general bust.

I do.

It is strongest in the SW corner but there isn't a hook and the cell isn't organized. If there is any rotation it is weak.

On second thought, the rotation does seem to be tightening up a little.

I see what he was saying with that picture, but eh it's not very impressive. I do see the little bit of rotation in it currently though.

Anyone living in Lake Arthur? How bad is this since it's moving my way (Northwesterly). Though it has a way to go (central St. Landry Parish).

I've had my eye on that for a little while now. It's got an open feed to inflow on.

Yeah. It wasn't a hook echo but he laughed at me which made me be a bit of an a-hole.

I don't like doing that because I like my fellow weather nerds.

It did have some rotation, though.

Cells starting to pop off as they come off the gulf. This mess certainly isn't wanting for lift.

What exactly is the difference between the green and red when looking at velocity?

Brightness is speed, color represents direction. Can't remember the convention, but one color is blowing toward the radar and the other away from it.

So a tight patch of bright red and green next to each other suggests a tornado. Broader rotations happen too, and are indicative of at least a severe thunderstorm.

Here's the tornado that was in Pope County Arkansas. Still on the ground and now rain wrapped.

That doesn't look good for Iota if it holds together.
