What is the latest, will there be any TOPS $$ for the spring semester? If so they giving it out equally or are you having to qualify by income or grades/ACT? What about next Fall?

We need to make Louisiana great again and get rid of TOPS for majors that SJWs inhabit

Yeah, people just don't understand Medicaid expansion. It's not your fault, you can't help it.

Well, please elaborate? Where do the feds get that money they send the state? Isn't the federal sum tapered down over 5-10 years? Who fills that gap?

The expansion is UP the income distribution. They are expanding it for people who work and currently make too much money to qualify. Calling those people deadbeats is stupid.

That doesn't answer my questions.

Regardless, if you are taking govt dollars for your healthcare through Medicaid, you are leeching.

I have a link bookmarked on desktop that has tentative amounts for the spring. The chart says that the info will be updated November 1.

I'll try to remember to link it here when I get home.

Then you made too many assumptions about my original comment.

At this point you will get about 40% of what you should have gotten in the spring.

I don't think they are finding more money - if anything, the budget is actually worse.

Should have gotten? Based on what? Your mediocre ACT score? The fact that you graduated from a third-rate Louisiana high school? And you have the gall to call the working poor deadbeats.

You shouldn't get a thing. What's LSU per semester? 6,000? Work for it or take out a loan.

Hey, I think we finally agree on something, except you're being inconsistent with your usual positions.

TOPS was initially projected to be funded at 47-ish percent of a normal payment for the spring. It's likely that the estimate was on the high side. LOSFA currently shows a Spring semester percentage of 41.80%. The final numbers won't be officially released until after Nov 1.

The percentages are applicable to everyone. Stipends are prorated at the same percentage. Income has nothing to do with it and retention remains the same.

As for next fall, nobody has any idea. Contact your local representative and let them know you expect them to fund it 100% during the spring/summer sessions.
