Just general perception. Most people haven't lived in that many states. If you traveled there and had a good experience it's going to influence your perception.

Really now? How many states can offer mountains, beaches, and deserts as well as multiple big cities with sports teams/music/food/shopping for entertainment? You can find anything you want there

I've never lived there but I've traveled around California and didn't love the state the way everyone told me I would. I think the people in the southern part of the state plays a part in that.

I don't really have least favorite states but I enjoy traveling to Florida, Colorado, NYC, Chicago, parts of Texas and California
