My wife and I are expecting our first kid (girl). From the beginning we had a C-Section scheduled because of lower back issues with my wife. February 17th at 10am CST is our date which is 14 hours away. Up until these last few hours i've been ok, but it's really starting to hit me.

Wish me luck guys.

Doctors are pretty amazing. I'm sure they are in great hands.

Congrats & good luck!

Go ahead and go to sleep now. It may be the last good sleep you get for 25 years.

If you aren't sleeping now, you are wasting your time. Trust me.

Congratulations.

I was in your shoes about 3 and 1/2 months ago. I was having a blast all day and cutting up with my wife and family. Then they roll all the tools and equipment in, (my wife went natural), and that's when it hit me. My wife said I started pacing really quickly. But once the doc came in I was relaxed and excited. It's a feeling unlike any other. Choose your words carefully because the first thing I said was "Look how big his mouth is!"

Congratulations Dad!

I watched a few videos so I'd know what I was getting into thankfully. With that being said, by the time they bring the dad into the OR the show is on. You'll be holding your new baby within minutes. It's a quick procedure actually. It was a surreal experience to say the least.

Oh, and congrats on not sleeping for the next few months.
