To those that drive a good deal or travel a lot for work, do you carry a pistol?

I need to, but I don't. I have gotten better about keeping a small 72 hour pack with me though

I drive about 80 miles a day to work. I've thought about keeping a pistol in my truck, but I'm constantly doing to gun free zones and I don't want any issues with it being in my truck

I have strategically placed weapons in 8 locations throughout south LA...

My company forbids carrying a gun in a company vehicle. I have found ways around that. I carry non lethal weapons such as my Kimber pepper spray blaster. I also carry a hatchet that is very versatile and I can conceal in a backpack.

I live in Colorado, where there is minimal racial tension. I've almost never heard any twist y'all on jobsites. I can only recall two racist comments/jokes, and that was only after I told someone I was from the south. As if everyone in the south is racist.


One guy started with black jokes on a jobsite. I tried to ignore them, but finally I lied and said that I had a black fiance. His face turned pale as frick. It was hilarious considering I haven't even had the opportunity to even flirt with a black woman since i left Nola.

Yep, I have to routinely drive through certain parts of the country that are less desirable than others. They do not put paper mills in the best parts of town.
