Ears been ringing constantly for days, weeks even. What does the OT recommend treat this? Besides cutting down on Alcohol, Caffeine and Nicotine.

Also had 2 combat tours around guns, mortars and loud equipment.

I've had a slight case for years. Barring surgery, I think I'm stuck.

Play a sound machine or turn a fan when things are quiet such as when going to bed. There is something called tinnitus training which may be an option. Don't bother buying lipoflavinoids. Hearing aids can help.

Listen to coater, tinnitus retraining therapy is a great way to go if sound machines aren't masking it enough. Only make an appt with an audiologist if it is debilitating. Let me know I you need a rec for an audiologist that works with a lot of tinnitus patients-

I have had that shite for at least the last 25 years...I just sleep with a fan on and there is enough ambient noise during the day for it to not really be too bothersome...

Same here. I can go long periods of time without noticing it or it bothering me. But sometimes at night when it's really quiet, there it is.

Nothing. It's permanent. It's what we get for listening to loud music and shooting guns w/o ear protection.

I have had it for close to 2 years now, non-stop, every day, 24/7. Been to an audiologist. ZERO there is to do about it. I tried lipoflavinoid for 6 months. No changes.

Learn to live with it. Sorry.
