Frick light pollution. Just imagine what the stars looked like 150 years ago.

Cool video, but even with zero light pollution the sky isn't going to look like this. I'm about 99% sure that this effect can only be created with long exposure photography. Still, cool video.

I've seen some skies in the remote parts of Arizona and New Mexico that will blow your mind. Truly amazing.

Out in the middle of the ocean is even better.

I hear flights to North Korea are cheap this time of year.

I used to lay on the deck of crew boats in the Gulf to look at the stars. Some platforms would let us go on the heli decks at night. The stars look completely different from out there.

I'm not a stoner but I love space. I really want to move somewhere where I can see a night sky like that.

The most stars I've ever seen is checking trot lines on the Ouiska Chitto River at night with my Dad when I was a kid. I'll never forget that sight.

You can get a good night sky really close to BR. There have been nights at my camp in Pigeon that you cannot see your hand held out in front of you it is so dark. I have seen some incredible meteor showers out there.

Man I've never seen the sky like that. I guess due to the lights the sky always looks mostly black with only a few stars.

If you ever get out to the Rockies away from towns, you won't believe your eyes. Spectacular.

Check out this video using a new ultra low light camera from Canon. First time to see full motion video of the milky way and also of people. All other videos are compiled of long exposure stills. This is shot in 59.97 fps video.

I was in Joshua Tree NP this past Christmas and when you turn off the lights..it is truly amazing. Stars Really Twinkle in the night sky

Unfortunately, at my age, my eyes couldn't focus in great detail but over all MIND BLOWING!

Nebraska is the only place I've seen stars like that. It's pretty trippy.
