Cecil the lion was sad but the crusade against the dentist was even worse. Naturally, people are going to be more sympathetic to something they're familiar with, i.e. Louisianans and Mike.

He's also falling into the same trap that people do on this board constantly.
Example:
Say theres 10000 users on this board. On topic 1, 7000 of them have an opinion of 1, while 3000 of them have an opinion of 2. (Use whatever ratios you like, doesnt matter). If some event happens that causes a negative outburst from those having opinion 1, their opinion will be applied to the fanbase as a whole.
Now lets say in the future, the tables are turned. And something happens that causes a negative outburst from those with opinion 2. THey will still be the ones bitching even though they are now a minority, they will seem like a majority. And their opinion will be applied to the fanbase as a whole.
This happens all the fricking time on here with dipshits that say things like "Yall can never be happy! Yall wanted this and now it happened and now you arent happy!"
Well frickstick, maybe you if you didnt try to group thousands of people with different opinions into a collective, you wouldnt constantly be seeing hypocrisies. Youll never see a complete representation of a groups opinion when something happens because whichever side sees it as negative will be way over represented.
I mean, its not like people who dont care about Mikes death "cuz hes just a tiger" are gonna be idiots enough to say that. Serves no purpose. Except for this little bitch

To be honest I don't remember the OT's consensus on Cecil, but I would say most should be not pissed but I guess feel some sympathy for Cecil. Considering Cecil was in an enclosed habitat and being cared for.
However his and Mike's lives are apples and oranges. Mike was rescued and was given better care than many zoo's would be able to give.
