They chopped down all the trees on Jefferson for the drainage work. That's where a lot of them lived. We've had some settle on our block in in Carrollton. Noisy SOBs.

There are probably some pirates nearby too. Parrots love to sit on a pirates shoulder.

Quaker Parrots...I have one....very noisy, and illegal to own in several states.

Audubon folks called them monk parakeets. A quick search of the web shows that they go by both names, quaker parrots and monk parakeets.

.... FYI

Anyway, I think they're awesome. They are kinda squawky, but I like the way they sound!

We just commented on those this weekend on the way to the parade. That's the first time I've ever seen them.

I see those Green Monk Parakeets every now and then around Houston.
