$140 to mail a watch to Germany. Is there a cheat code or something I missed?

Well, it's going to get put on a plane and go through customs multiple times. I'm guessing the insurance had a little bit to do with it also. Hell, if you ship something from La to NY and it's around 10lbs it's going to cost you $20-$30.

You and me both...but not likely. I'm getting the case reconditioned as well.

They build watches to order, with choices of crown, dial, movements..., and service them in house. It took 3 months to get it initially, so this should be interesting.

That is a great price. If you think it is a ripoff, bring the watch yourself.

$1500 for a plane ticket is all you need.

The damn declaration they sent for customs had at the top:

INTERNATIONAL AIR WAYBILL NO. ____________________ (NOTE: All shipments must be accompanies by a Federal Express International Air Waybill)

That's why I went to FedEx instead of the post office. The waybill shite was strange, but I never got one.

The USPS will tape a customs declaration to the registered mail. I'm dying
