Thinking of switching banks/credit union..who do you like?

I have Whitney right now. I am become frustrated with the online banking at Whitney. It always kicks me out, then tells me my password is wrong so I have to continuously reset it. I told the local bank about it and they didn't seem concerned. I want to switch to a bank that has a good mobile app. Who have you had a good experience with?

I've been with Chase for 15 years. Their online banking is great. Online check deposits via the chase app means I have not walked into a branch in 2 years.
every walgreens has a Chase atm

Thank you. I will look into them.

I hate to recommend a soulless behemoth that doesn't care about you and pillages the country, but Chase is the answer.

This is the OT. We don't manage our own accounts. That's what we have financial planners for. Go back to the ghettos of the soccer board

Much easier to work with than banks

I use Chase for daily banking. Their online and mobile apps are great. I still go to a branch to deposit checks, but do it at the ATM. Haven't been inside in years.
I use Pelican FCU for financing things (vehicles and personal loans).

Chase for daily banking and Schwab for investments/savings. I would switch totally to Schwab if it wasn't such a pain in the arse to deposit cash.

My only two concerns are access to ATM's and online banking. It seems like chase has both of those down.

I have used Chase for years for primary checking but always had E Federal Credit Union (now EFCU Financial) for savings and loans. EFCU now has a mobile app that rivals Chase's with features such as deposits from your phone. I just swapped over to EFCU for checking as well since I have both my vehicles financed through them plus a line of credit with them. Everything shows up in one place and it's incredibly easy to transfer money from accounts and to pay my vehicle notes.

USAA. Won't leave them. Too good of a company that actually looks out for its members.
PenFed has great auto loan & home mortgage rates. Hard to beat them.
LightStream (SunTrust Bank) is extremely competitive on auto loan rates. They offered me 1.99 % rate, UNSECURED for just over $36K. Title has no liens.

I don't know where you live but if there's a good credit union in your area (especially one with many branches), I'd look into it.
Most of them have online banking, mobile apps, and all the bells and whistles you want and need.
I have accounts with two different credit unions (the second one I opened up for my rental property business and I'm moving stuff over); on the second one they told me up front that I was pre-qualified for a $4,000 credit card just for signing up.

Capital One has solid on-line banking. They inherited the Hibernia system and have made steady enhancements to it. I opened a second account a few years ago with another bank in order to take advantage of an interest promotion and the application really sucked.

Whitney's online system is terrible.
For day to day banking of my liquid funds, I use Chase. Mainly for their footprint in areas that I travel a lot. Also for branch convenience to my home. Since online banking is important, Chase is fine. I like Capital One's online experience as well.
If you have other products like car loans or lines of credit, go with Neighbors Federal CU (if you live in BR). Great rates, local underwriting, great service.

The more hooks a business can set in their customer, the less likely they are to leave.

Was with LADOTD FCU since the age of 16 (I'm 36 now). They made some poor investments and sunk some cash into building a bauble in Denham that they can't rent out the other space for, built a Lake Chuck Branch, and then did some poor lending. They also changed their name-which was horrible for marketing-to Main Street Financial.
At the end of the day, they tried to sell out once, we voted it down. The 2nd time, they painted a poor picture and we sold to Jefferson Financial. It's a former Teacher's CU in Jeff Parish.
Worst decision in the world. They sucked in customer service, violated their own policy-and maybe even the law-with what they did to me on my credit card I had. Had payments taken out of my paycheck every other Friday for 7 years to keep the card balance low. After the merger, they stopped taking the payments out, and just started letting me roll 30 days past due and then taking the payment out manually, with the late charges and dinging me for all the interest, and dinging my credit score repeatedly.
Without ever calling me to set up an arrangement or even letting me know the old one was no longer in effect. I just saw the money coming out and thought NBD, that's just them taking my payment out y'know?
Anyway, got that all sorted out and then their customer service number and call centers changed. Their process and policy there was RIDICULOUS to get through. I can pay my mortgage with a simple login/password combo. I call these jokers and I needed full name, current address, last 4 of my SSN, secret password (different from ATM Pin, Online Banking Password) and then the amount of several recent transactions.
I got so tired of dealing with them I said screw it. Moved all of my accounts and paid off the CC through them over to Essential FCU (old Dow LA FCU). It's been a wonderful experience. Totally and completely different.
I recommend them. Highly.

I have Jefferson Financial Credit Union. I like it a lot. They just got Kasasa. It's an account that gives back 2% on all debit purchases with no monthly fee.
