My wife has a 2012 Santa Fe. It's been a good car for our family.

Resale value may be suspect but if you plan to keep it long term it seems like a great bargain.

I've known 3 people who have owned one, all 3 people have absolutely loved it for the price

If you would have told me 5 years ago one day that I would recommend a Hyundai of any kind I would have laughed in your face but honestly they make good cars these days. They're well made and have gotten to be luxurious while remaining cheap.

My experiences with the Santa Fe and Sonata are great.

My parents had a Genesis. It was always broken, and often with serious problems.

I've only driven them as rentals so I can't say anything about long term but just driving it around for a few weeks, I loved it. Definitely had the luxury car feel with lots of nice touches.
I've had a few family members with Santa Fe's and they've held up great long term.

Hyundai makes good vehicles now, and their value is very good. Would consider if I were in the market.

Yep, the wife has one. Very nice and been mostly dependable. The A/C has been kind of crappy and we've had to get it fixed a couple of times. Other than that, it's a very solid ride.

It's a different kind of styling than I'm into, but they make really good cars. A good friend of mine owns a Mercedes and Hyundai dealership here (at least his family does) and he was talking to me about how impressive the quality and realiability is now.

I've only heard good things recently.

Their Super Bowl commercial should be the final push in getting you to buy one

Those cars are POS. I was in bank drive thru and decided to back up to get another lane. There was a Hyundai maybe 2-3 feet behind me but I didn't see it. I put it in reverse and let off the brake. Didn't give it any gas and it still caused $5500 worth damage. The thing just crumpled up.

Can't speak for the Genesis but the wife and I rented a Santa Fe Sport in Colorado and it was one fine ride.

I have a Genesis and love it, pissed they switched body styles, new one looks like hot garbage compared to previous style
