After a several years on this board I have factual evidence Lousianans make up 80% of Denver's tourism income

Well I'm going because my grandfather is being introducted into some fire fighter memorial in Colorado springs

Denver - Check out a concert at Red Rocks if there is one that weekend
Springs - Hike the Incline. Take train to the top of Pikes Peak

Denver zoo was actually pretty sad, really small enclosures, remember the bears areas being super small

Welp, ski season doesn't start until November, and IIRC, Colorado Springs doesn't have legal weed. The Air Force Academy is worth a visit, and you can drive, ride the train (or hike, if you're ambitious and in shape) to the top of Pike's Peak. Beyond that, Colo Springs doesn't have much to offer, IYAM. It wouldn't be at the top of my list on a trip to CO.
ETA: That's pretty cool about your grandfather. How about telling us about him?

He spent 28 years on NOFD and was a captain for 15, Ladder 6 in Algiers. Made the newspaper a couple of times but I would have to find the articles.

Wow. That is exactly how I would describe your mother, what a coincidence.

First I need to know, for the Denver part at least, are you going to be alive or dead?

I loved Colorado Springs. It's one of our best vacations ever. Definitely go to the Air Force and a Rockies game. U.S. Mint in Denver, Pikes Peak, and the USA Training Center are other places to visit. We also attended a rodeo and did a chuck wagon dinner.
