Not in Anchorage.....you'll have to go to Fairbanks but I think that time has passed for the year.

I would try to get out of the city. King Salmon Fishing was really fun, day cruise (might see humpbacks), hiking, bus tour to see wildlife, anything outdoors really

Just went earlier this month after taking some recommendations from the OT. If the weather is nice, take a drive down Seward's Highway along Turnagain Arm.

We went to the summit of Alyeska, which was really cool.

If you enjoy fishing there is a river running almost right through downtown. I visited a long time ago, around 13 years ago, but there was a little shack where you could rent hip weighters and poles and catch salmon. We caught a few fish, it was a lot of fun. if the place is still open id check it out.

They call it Los Anchorage for a reason. It's just a generic city that happens to be located in the far north. The good news is you can drive 30 minutes and be in the wilderness. I'd hit up a charter service to fly you on a day fishing trip. Just google one up and see what they have to offer. Why are you only there for a weekend?
